Albertinia
Hotel
- The ideal Garden Route accommodation between Cape Town and Port
Elizabeth.
This charming and unique Albertinia country hotel was established in 1900 and has
ever since built on an outstanding reputation for country
hospitality and Garden Route accommodation at its best.
Its wonderful ambiance, food,
comfortable accommodation and service has given the hotel a national
as well as international reputation and it enjoys a three star
rating by the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa. The fine food
served at the Albertinia Hotel has become something of a legend. (For more about the
fare click on Our Food).
The
experience offered here in Albertinia has remained of such a high standard over
the years that letters of appreciation from present-day guests are
practically identical to those of forty or fifty years
ago.
One reason for the hotel’s success is that in over a
century of existence there have been only six owners and it has
always been a family concern. Traditions have been passed on and
standards maintained.
Albertinia itself is a small and
tranquil town at the foot of the Langeberg mountain range on the
Garden Route of South Africa. Wheat farms surround Albertinia, thatch
is cut and bound by hand and aloe oils are harvested for use in
health and beauty products.
De Poort wine farm is just up the
road and is open to visitors.
Use the Albertinia Hotel as your base
whilst exploring the diverse attractions of our area. Golfing, bird
watching, game drives, 4x4 routes, angling, aloe product factories
and bungy jumping can all be found within a 10 min drive.
