One reason for the hotel’s success is that in over a century of existence there have been only six owners and it has always been a family concern. Traditions have been passed on and standards maintained.

Albertinia itself is a small and tranquil town at the foot of the Langeberg mountain range on the Garden Route of South Africa. Wheat farms surround Albertinia, thatch is cut and bound by hand and aloe oils are harvested for use in health and beauty products.

The Jakkalsvlei Winery is just up the road and is open to visitors.
